“How to Cook Chicken Adobo for Business”
🍲 Adobo Recipe
📖 Definition:
Adobo is one of the most famous Filipino dishes made by simmering chicken or pork in soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, bay leaves, and peppercorns. It is loved for its savory and slightly tangy flavor, making it the “unofficial national dish” of the Philippines.
🛒 Ingredients;
1 kilo chicken (cut into serving pieces)
½ cup soy sauce
¼ cup vinegar
1 head garlic (minced)
1 onion (sliced)
2 bay leaves (laurel leaves)
1 teaspoon peppercorn
1 cup water
2 tablespoons cooking oil
Salt and sugar to tasted
👩🍳 Steps to Cook Chicken Adobo:
1. In a bowl, marinate the chicken with soy sauce, garlic, and peppercorn for at least 30 minutes.
2. Heat cooking oil in a pan, then sauté the onion and the marinated chicken (reserve the marinade).
3. Add the marinade, vinegar, bay leaves, and water, then bring to a boil.
4. Lower the heat and let it simmer until the chicken is tender and the sauce thickens.
5. Add salt and sugar to balance the taste, then cook for a few more minutes.
6. Serve hot with rice or pack it in food containers for selling.
